Just Like a Socket Wrench

I have multiple socket wrenches. Some are metric and others are the US version. I have big ones and little ones. There are adapters. I even have some sockets I can use with a cordless screwdriver. Being able to choose what I want without having a box full of non-adjustable wrenches is helpful and space-saving. I feel the same way about investing. Give me one tool that is adaptable and that I can “customize” to meet my needs and I will go to work. In today’s Trader+ video I show the flexibility and adaptability of the Fidelity Trader+ software.
This is the sixth in my series to help investors navigate and leverage the power of the Fidelity Trader+ application. The most important things in your account are your positions. The beauty of Trader+ is that you can customize your view of your positions. This is helpful if you buy and sell stocks and ETFs and it is especially useful for those who want to trade options contracts.
Fidelity Trader+ Positions Functionality
In Fidelity Trader+ (Trader+ Desktop), you can view the positions in just about any way. You can see a list of your positions, and you can filter the “short” and “long” investments. You can see a heatmap of your holdings. You can add to and subtract from the columns you want to view. It is also possible to move the columns to suit your interests and needs.

This seven-minute YouTube video covers the main features so that you can see the power of this tool. POSITIONS VIDEO
