Some of you may not have access to Fidelity Investment tools. There are other free tools available, like the one from Stock Rover.

To use Apple Inc (AAPL) as an example, there are four things I want to see when I look at the Stock Rover Research page using the Insight Layout and the Dividends tab. Those four things are:

Does the graph show increasing dividends?

What is the upcoming dividend date and dollar amount?

What is the annual dividend yield?

What is the payout ratio and the historical growth rate for the dividend?

Apple rates a five-out-of-five for dividends in my opinion. The dividend is increasing, it is sustainable, and it is rising at an attractive rate.
