Why own Artisan Partners Asset Management Inc?
As I was exploring potential investments in January, I came upon APAM. After looking at the business model and the potential for income, I bought 100 shares. I suspected that a dividend increase was coming, and I wasn’t disappointed. In fact, the increase was for more than I expected. The growth potential for this investment looks very favorable.
A Dividend Growth Story
APAM has a dividend yield of 5.95% and a dividend payout ratio of 85.08%. APAM has a 7-year record of increasing dividends, and a desirable 5-year growth rate of 4.94%. A comparable company would be AB (Alliance Bernstein Holding L.P.) This investment is in the Financial sector and is in the “Asset Management and Custody Banks” industry.
