Proverbs 19:3 (ESV) “When a man’s folly brings his way to ruin, his heart rages against the Lord.”
There are a couple of reasons why someone might be angry with God. None of the reasons makes much sense. On top of that, given the fact that I believe God is sovereign, loving, patient, merciful, compassionate and judges rightly, it might be wise to look for something other than God to blame for my current problem, distresses or even for ruin. Perhaps, just perhaps, I created my own mess using my own faulty recipe?
King Solomon, the author of Proverbs, wisely notes that it is often a man’s own bad thinking, bad choices and bad habits that bring him down ending in a destination called ruin. Read the Proverbs and you can find most of the ways most people use to self-destruct. Some learn from their mistakes, but a fool continues down the path of destruction without regard to the growing problems, broken relationships and financial hardship of that path.
There really is only one lasting solution that does not end in ruin. It is found in John 3:16 and Romans 6:23.
