The Value of Seeking Alpha QUANT Scores

Seeking Alpha helps me avoid bad investments. But it also helps me analyze and keep an eye on our existing holdings. The reason that our dividends grow is due to several factors, but buying quality investments (stocks and ETFs) are a foundational factor.

This first image of our dividends for the most recent years shows how our January 2026 dividends compared with the same month in the previous three years. So far the results are encouraging, but it is still too early to declare success.

The second image is one that I use to see if dividends are actually growing. Bear in mind that there are some factors that are not the result of specific dividends increases. So, for example, some BDCs declare both monthly dividends and supplemental dividends. These can influence the results. Furthermore, I do buy some investments and sell other investments during the year. This can also influence dividend income.

Our Holdings and Seeking Alpha QUANT Scores

If you are interested in our holdings, I am including two images. The first shows all of the holdings in my traditional IRA, which is our largest account, sorted by the QUANT score. Green is a “BUY” rating, Yellow is a “HOLD” rating, and Red is a “SELL.”

The second image shows all of the BUYS in our largest accounts. As you can see, Cindie and I both own shares of MFC and PSTL.

Linking Broker Accounts to Fidelity

If you want to examine your holdings proactively within Seeking Alpha, you can link using instructions provided by Seeking Alpha. This saves time and improves visibility. However, you cannot do this with the “free” Seeking Alpha site. You need to have a “Premium” or “Pro” Subscription.

Here is a link to the instructions for linking accounts: SEEKING ALPHA KNOWLEDGE BASE

  2. By using this feature, you can keep your portfolio updated automatically and gain valuable insights into your holdings.
