What is the Catch?

Coming Soon! Seeking Alpha

If you sign up for updates from my blog, you can be certain that I won’t try to sell you something. First of all, I write because I enjoy sharing what I learn. This includes topics that may seem to be polar opposites (investing and theology) but that are really intertwined. I also want my readers to have a jump start over what I had when I first started learning about investing.

What I don’t want, nor do we need is income from my blogging activities. Our income needs are more than met by other means. I don’t want my readers to have to ask the question, “So, what is the catch?

Having said that, I have some news to share. I often use Seeking Alpha as a resource for my investing research and decisions, and I also frequently share images from Seeking Alpha. Seeking Alpha reviewed my website statistics and offered to let me become a Seeking Alpha consultant.

What Does That Mean?

In the near future Seeking Alpha will be giving me a link that I will share at the end of any blog post where I use Seeking Alpha information. What is the link all about? That link will give the reader the opportunity, but not the obligation to go to the Seeking Alpha website to explore a subscription. I have found my subscription to be very valuable and I think many of my readers would too.

If a reader uses the link on my website, and subscribes, I will be remunerated for my part in directing a new subscriber to the subscription path. That doesn’t change the price you will pay for the subscription, but Seeking Alpha will give me a piece of the price you paid.

More to Come

If you are considering a Seeking Alpha subscription, and don’t mind waiting a bit longer, then I will be sharing the link in a future post. If you can’t wait, I’d say “go for it!”
