Change to My Blog

Yesterday during a Zoom call with a friend, I learned that it is hard to increase the size of the images in my blog posts so that they can be read. I have gradually noticed that WordPress changes things and those changes aren’t always desirable. Starting with today’s post, and also for tomorrow’s post about AVGO, you should be able to click on an image to see a larger version of the image. At least that is my hope. I discovered a feature that should make reading the images easier.
While I am writing, I wanted to do a quick review of my experiences with the Robinhood investment platform. If I were to give Robinhood a grade, the best I could offer is D-.
Robinhood is a Weak Investing Platform
About two years ago I opened a Robinhood account so that I could speak intelligently with new investors, especially younger ones, who seemed to like the idea of using a platform like the one Robinhood provides for trading not only mainstream stocks, but also cryptocurrency. After giving it two years, I have concluded that it is a very poor place for investors who are serious about investing.
Robinhood’s Weaknesses
First of all, the online interface is clumsy, and the order tickets can be difficult to use. In addition, it is difficult to see the overall performance of your investment portfolio. It is hard to see the cost basis of each position in the portfolio without clicking into each investment one-at-a-time.

Robinhood also segregates the typical Stock investments from Cryptocurrencies, and even produces separate statements each month. One is for Crypto, and the other is for stocks. To make matters worse, the statements themselves are worthless. They don’t offer the information that Fidelity Investments provides on their statements. Far from it, the information is very basic and isn’t worth reading.

Feedback Reminder
If you have difficulties seeing images in the future, please let me know. I will do what I can to make things easier to read. I also welcome questions and try to respond to each one. Thank you!
